Bring Me Sunshine

Bring Me Sunshine—A. Kent/S. Dee, 1966 (Recorded February 3, 2012) Another crackin’ tune inspired by the Ukulele Cosmos’s monthly Open Invitational. This song is a lot of fun. It’s become a lighthearted, sunny standard with the Brits after Morecambe & Wise used it as a theme song on their late 1960s BBC television show. Now, go on—be grumpy. I dare you.

Thanks, bud! Fun tune, even if some of our grumpier Cosmonaut pals think it’s crap.

Ha. Probably due to over-exposure and its kitsch status over in Blighty. What’s so funny ’bout peace, love and understanding?

This would mash up rather well with ‘Mack The Knife’, don’cha think?

A mashup with “Mack the Knife,” eh? I can hear it. They’re close to being the same song, in fact. Give it a go, why don’t you? I’d be happy to lay down a track of noodles. It’d be a hoot!
